‘I want to engage and inspire people on many levels, through print, animation, sound, touch and smell, and challenge people’s visual perception.’ Rupert Newman

Rupert newman produces projections and works with exclusive party planners and luxury brands to produce original bespoke content. The projections are used to transform objects and architecture into unique and dynamic platforms for ever-changing or static display. Rupert's work seeks to continually challenge the boundaries of print, light projections and sound, placing the notion of Art as immersive experience at the heart of his work. By fusing digital display with physical textures, his work aims to interfere with what is virtual and what is real. I went to see an exhibition in Notting Hill Newmans back in 2012, in his exhibition he has one visual projection along with a sears of drawings. His drawings are the images within his pieces. I use photography as my drawing. Rupert bounces between processes within hi practice as he also has a collection of menswear swimming trunks. I would like to make a collection of scarves as wearable art work.
