Using objects and light to make photographs
I went off on a bit of a tangent within the last month, I have created a series of experiments using different objects and photographing them with light, whilst photographing i have also been film the moving elements of the changes in shape or reflections or colour. I aim to create imagery that floats suspends in the darkness, holding just shape and colour to allow the viewer to raise questions on its true identity extracting the familiar qualities of an object and turning it into an abstract from.

Images for a gallery

Fortunately a position arose for exhibiting short films in the Benzie building at MMU,

'The intention is to have a series of looped silent films projected at various points in the gallery(over all floors of the building) . The video work has to be suited to a gallery context.'

Taking submissions every month i have decided to submit the last film 'glow' in the next months summation as i feel that it is still unfinished and need perfecting, however this is a perfect opportunity for me to expose my films into a space, this technique is different from the previous films, these two films i would present on there own as actual pieces where as the other films i would use to project back onto a surface, the movements in these pieces slowly move in and out in size so that you can only just see its movement.
